IT is the mission of the Capital City Pacers organization to encourage

Our Goal:
Acquaint all players with the fundamentals of the game.
Teach sportsmanship, discipline, pride, determination, and love of the game.
Encourage the players to strive to achieve the best grades in school that they are capable of , while maintaining a balance between school and athletics.
To expose the players to different life building opportunities through, classes, workshops, trips, guest speakers, and other avenues of growth that will enrich their lives.
PACERS is an acronym for: P-urpose A-ttitude C-haracter E-ducation R-espect S-carifice .
Our Philosophy is Positive Coaching:
We believe that winning is more than the score at the end of the game . We encourage our coaches, and parents to make an extra effort to offer positive help and encouragement to our players, rather than negative criticism.
Everyone Plays: Our goal is for all of our players and parents to have a good experience. Although there is no guarantee of how much playing time a player will receive, coaches strive to play every hardworking and dedicated player.
Good Sportsmanship: We desire to create a healthy competitive environment based on Christian values.
History of The Capital City Pacers was started officially In 2007 after coaching a number of years in Parks and Rec . Coach Dupree , started out with some players that had been playing rec ball for me for several years. We actually started out calling our team the Sixers. This team at that time wanted to do more, so not knowing a lot about Travel Ball or AAU other than what I had heard. We joined a travel organization and played in several tournaments. Long story short the organization folded and we were left to figure out what to do next. After paying for several tournaments and getting a better understanding how things worked, The Capital City Pacers was officially formed. Since Raleigh is the Capital City for North Carolina, that spoke to where we were from. The rest as they say is history.
We give all the glory and honor to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for anything that we have been able to accomplish.
